Emma was rescued at 2 months old, weighing 5.6 kg (12lbs) after the mother left her with a stranger and ran. The baby was brought to the Dream Centre where is is safe and being cared for but is crying lots with the changes. The police are looking for the mother and will update us as the case evolves.

Precious was brought into our care following an emergency rescue. Her parents, known drug addicts with a history of neglect, left her unattended and have not returned. Authorities are searching for them and other relatives. Weighing just 7 kg, Precious is significantly underweight for her age and needs special nutrition and ongoing care. Meanwhile, she remains safe in our care and needs sponsorship to provide food, medical care, shelter, and loving support.

Leonardo was abandoned by his mother, but he was rescued by the Dream Centre team and is thriving in a family unit in Bungoma, Kenya. He is very smart and pushes himself to do well. Helping people makes him happy, and he prays he will be able to become a doctor when he is older. Leonardo loves football and enjoys playing with his friends and siblings. He is part of the worship team at church and enjoys singing a lot. He reads in his quiet time.

Age: 4.5
Fiston is a wonderful little boy with a lot of energy. He would like to go to school like the older kids in his neighborhood and says learning new things is “fun”. Fiston loves to run and jump and especially likes to kick a ball around. He loves spending time with his grandmother (who is HIV+ and weak)
Rwanda: Fiona Mushikiwabo
Age: 10
Fiona was abandoned when she was just 4 days old near a hospital. Today, Fiona is doing well, but with sponsorship should could thrive. She enjoys helping with household chores such as doing the dishes and folding clothes. Fiona likes listening to Bible stories, and she enjoys music and soccer. She also enjoys doing crafts and coloring. Fiona has a nice group of friends she plays with at church.
Rwanda: Elissa Iradukunda
Age: 4
Elissa's father is unknown and his mother passed away. He is living with his auntie. He is a good boy who loves playing with his friends and often can be found at the church playground. He dreams of being able to drive a truck and help support his aunt and overcome poverty. He also dreams of going to school. With sponsorship he will be able to attend in the fall.

Age: 8
Gold is a humble girl. After the death of both parents her brothers and her went to live with her aunt. She helps with keeping the home in order and enjoys playing with her friends. She excels in school and sponsorship would ensure that she can continue her education as she dreams of becoming a doctor and helping others.
Rwanda: Merci Igiraneza
Age: 5
Merci is doing well, and her health has improved. She is very close to her mother and is a busy 4-year-old who enjoys playing outside. Her infectious smile brings joy to everyone around her. Merci also attends church with her mother and loves dancing to the music. She continues to be part of the church feeding program.
