There are thank you letters, then there are THANK YOU LETTERS.
Today, I was thrilled to send this thank you letter from one of our amazing staff in Kenya to his sponsor here in Canada.
Imagine that it is YOU receiving this thank you letter:
My Dearest Sponsor,
This is Samuel, overseeing the Child Sponsorship program that deals with vulnerable children in the slums of Kenya. I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your continued support despite the challenges you may be going through. I can not find the right words to express my gratitude. It is out of sacrifice you deny yourself to see to it that monthly i am supported.This support has come in handy as it has enabled me to oversee the children in our slums. Your generous support is priceless in ensuring that these children receive the care, guidance and educational opportunities they deserve. Visiting them either in their homes or their schools where I have to talk to their teachers gives me a sense of significance. To some, I am a father figure in their lives for most of them are either being raised by their single mothers or grandmothers.
Together, we are making a difference in the lives of these children, and I am honored to have you as a sponsor.
Thank you once again for your unwavering support. May the almighty God keep you from all evil and preserve your going out and your coming in, always together with all your household.

As a staff member of Home of Hope for over 15 years, here is what I know:
#1 Samuel is an amazing part of our team and does an outstanding job. He is always smiling and is full of joy - even though he sees devastation nearly every day in the slums where he is helping children. He is such an encouragement to those kids! Plus the children that he and his wife, Beatrice, have adopted into their home (rescued children who were living at the Dream Centre)
#2 The sponsor getting this letter will probably cry with happiness. What a great letter to say thank you!
#3 This letter was one of the best thank you letters I've ever seen. If I got a letter like this, I would want to help more with what Samuel is doing.
