One of our amazing sponsors has been saving money to repair his motorcycle for the past year – it needs a whole new motor, and he has $1,000 saved to repair it. He is pretty attached to this bike and has really been looking forward to being able to fix it and go riding this summer.
Knowing how valuable his bike is to him, this week he was reflecting from his trip to Rwanda, and remembering how crucial transportation is for Home of Hope leaders. They travel many kilometres (most in remote areas with no roads) to help children but without a motorbike, they must depend on public transportation, taxis and walking/hiking many hours. This is an added expense and often time-consuming.
With tears in his eyes, this sponsor saw the value this money for his bike would have for someone else. He has decided to donate every dollar he had saved for a motorbike for a Home of Hope leader!
We are calling others to donate towards this great need as he would like the gift doubled if possible! What a great idea!
